Garage Organizers
In mygarage, I have open framing, where each rafter is a 2×10 and spaced about 3 feet apart. I want to add plywood sheathing to top of the rafters to create a storage area and a drop down ladder. My concern though is that the rafters are about 3 feet apart. Each rafter is about 26 feet long. Can someone give me detailed explaination on how they would go about making sure the rafters support enought weight? If I need to add rafters, should I use engineered wood? I have searched and searched for ideas on the net to no avail. I need some help! Thanx!
I’ve looked at Home Depot, Lowes, Osh- the usual suspects. Does anyone have other recos, even online sites, where I can get garage cabinets for cheap in the SF Bay Area, preferable the South Bay? I’m not looking for anything fancy, simple white cabinets will do.
I am currently looking for a guide to building garage shelving units. Not looking for anything too complex, just something I will be able to store boxes and so forth on. Something I can anchor to the wall but does not need to be anchored to the ceiling or floor. Any help is greatly appreciated.
anyone know where to shop for affordable garage storage systems. I like units they sell at Sears by Craftsmen and Gladiator but they are out of my price range. I’ve checked Home Depot and Menards already. I don’t want rubbermaid type. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
What are some of the best storage brands for a garage? We moved into a brand new house and have tons of tools/power tools and just stuff to put away….Craftsman seems to be going downhill. Any ideas? Thanks!
Need to store everything away from the floor and easy to reach places.
Garage storage space 303-255-5554 Denver Home Improvement Contractor www.patioandhomeimprovementdesign.com We are building a garage storage space above the garage in this home in Louisville Colorado. The vaulted ceilings allowed for this space to be added. Before the area was unusable other than a few shelves. Now we are adding about 100 square feet to the garage for much more overhead storage.
